  • This dynamic event convenes conservation practitioners, policymakers, and community-based organizations to explore innovative strategies for scaling up species conservation globally. Grounded in the IUCN Global Species Action Plan (GSAP), it emphasizes collaboration, cutting-edge tools, and capacity-building to address the biodiversity crisis. Participants will share experiences, examine successful case studies, and identify ways to integrate new approaches into their work. The session aims to inspire collective action to prevent extinctions, reduce species risk, and restore wildlife abundance, while strengthening partnerships and catalyzing impactful conservation efforts across the Union and society.
  • Accelerating national progress towards Nature Positive: Introducing ‘NATURE Impacts’ – a new initiative to track, prioritise, and strengthen action for the Global Biodiversity Framework’s 2030 goals.
  • This session explores how to define and deliver meaningful outcomes in conservation initiatives by integrating local and Indigenous values, strengthening multi-stakeholder partnerships, and identifying shared priorities for nature and people. This session explores how to define and plan for meaningful outcomes in landscape initiatives by centering local and Indigenous values, strengthening cross-sector partnerships, and identifying shared priorities for nature and people.
  • Principles for Inclusive Nature Action

    Main Room
Come and learn about these Principles that provide a framework for governments, donors, NGOs and other stakeholders who seek to support local action for nature to scale-up transformative action to conserve, restore, sustainably use and manage biodiversity.

We will have a panel discussion, discuss the book, watch the film trailer, and then take some time to enjoy refreshments, mingle and network together. There will also be the chance to get hold of a signed copy of the book.
  • Join us for an interactive session focussing on how to make measuring extinction risk meaningful and feasible for companies. In this Learning Lab, you will receive background on the draft global consensus state of nature metrics, a practical walkthrough of the STAR (Species Threat Abatement and Restoration) metric calibration process using IBAT, insights from company piloters and, most importantly, the chance to try it for yourself! Bring along your laptop and your ambition to contribute to conserving threatened species and creating a nature-positive world.
