We’re turning our attention in November to the most important climate meeting since the Paris Accords. We all know that to limit global warming to 1.5, we need to rapidly decarbonise and halve emissions by 2030.
But Net Zero is only part of the story, we need to make sure we’re also focused on protecting, managing and restoring nature, because there is no point in transitioning to a net zero economy if our vital ecosystems continue to be degraded. Becoming Nature+Positive is not only crucial to stabilising climate, it has the power to increase food security, create jobs, improve health, promote education and rebuild economies. To become nature-positive, we need to take action for nature in its own right, because there’s power in Nature+Positive.
Come and join us at the Nature+Zone Pavilion at COP26. This space represents a unique coalition of more than 20 organisations working in and around nature-based solutions. Coming together to speak and act with one voice and one aim - to ensure that the concept of Nature+Positive becomes as familiar and urgent as Net Zero. Our aims are to halt nature loss, ensure we become nature-positive by 2030 – and meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Located in the Blue Zone, our pavilion is a busy and dynamic focal point for all things nature and climate. There is a packed agenda of events, speakers and meetings happening each day. See the schedule here (link to the schedule page on N4C).
Located in the Nature+Zone, the newsroom is a fully functioning broadcast centre, covering all the daily news, announcements and interviews relating to Nature+Positive and nature-based solutions. This is a special project of the Global Commons Alliance and its media arm, Earth HQ who are working in close collaboration with Nature4Climate (N4C), the UK Climate Champions Team, Eurovision, Eikosphere, NI Media, and many co-production partners.
