The Nature Positive Initiative has convened a large pavilion at various different conferences over the years. This is a space for the wide array of voices acting to tackle the nature crises to have their say and creates a central hub focusing on action driving for a nature-positive future.
Why does the Initiative host a pavilion?
The Nature Positive Initiative is made up of 27 organizations and coalitions who all support the definition of Nature Positive, and are taking action to further the Global Goal.
Hosting a Nature Positive Pavilion is a great way to bring the community together, provide a platform for the variety of voices supporting the Nature Positive Goal, and increase the visibility of Nature Positive.
At selected conferences, the pavilion brings together cross-sectoral actors who contribute financially, with content and with communications support to make it a success. Partners vary and we welcome a mix of organizations outside or including the original 27.
There are many options for sponsorship of the pavilion, which change based on the conference and location specifics. Sponsors vary from existing members of the Nature Positive Initiative to Forum members to a wider group – but one thing brings them all together: the recognition of the need to drive the transition to a nature-positive world.

Examples of specifications from previous iterations of the pavilion:
A big space has been secured at conferences like the UN CBD’s COP15 and COP16 and the IUCN World Conservation Congress, alongside several partners. This takes the shape of a large ‘tent’ (if outdoors) or walled pavilion within a larger congress centre of ~150 square meters.
The space is then co-designed, within the restrictions given, to be as visible as possible with the Nature Positive branding, the bending the curve graph and an eye-catching networking space, supplemented by television / projector screens and banners.
In most cases the design has included a large theatre-style room for panel sessions; a smaller workshop / presentation room and a networking / coffee space, which is often where we host the opening / closing receptions. Where possible, we also design 1-2 small meeting rooms to provide to our partners for coveted meeting space in busy conferences.
The Nature Positive Initiative Secretariat are delighted to invite you to the next Nature Positive Pavilion in Yerevan, Armenia where the UN CBD and Armenian Ministry of Environment will be hosting COP17 – the next UN ‘Nature COP’. Alongside nation states, we expect to see a variety of actors within the blue zone and we will once again welcome diverse stakeholders in dialogue that accelerates action towards the Global Goal for Nature.
