The Interoperability of Standards, Measurement and Guidance Frameworks for Nature Positive Outcomes

This session will feature leading corporate reporting frameworks and standards sharing insights on how the State of Nature Indicators and Metrics are being embedded in their approaches, demonstrating the critical need for interoperability across the nature measurement space. It will provide a broad perspective of how the reporting landscape is shifting to fill the gap on state of nature in impact, dependency, risk and opportunity disclosures, as well as giving the latest updates from individual frameworks and standards on what this will look like in practice.
This session follows the launch of the new State of Nature Indicators and Metrics Framework on 13 October, where it was also announced that they have been embedded within the frameworks of TNFD and SBTN, with GRI to follow in the coming months. Further, the ISSB intends to draw on TNFD material on nature-related risks and opportunities when drafting its approach to disclosure for use as voluntary or mandatory nature-related reporting.
