Ecosystem condition has established itself as a key element of biodiversity to measure. The event will take stock of progress on convergence and explore remaining questions to be addressed by standardisation efforts.
This panel discussion, gathering representatives from TNFD, WBCSD, NPI, GEO, a company which piloted State of Nature (SoN) metrics and BioInt, examines the key questions for measuring and accounting for Ecosystem Condition (EC). Building on recent publications – TNFD’s discussion paper on SoN measurement, NPI’s finalised SoN metrics set, and WBCSD’s insights paper on nature measurement gaps – progress, remaining gaps and prospects for EC measurement and accounting will be outlined. The session will gather panellists’ reflections and audience inputs to feed into the future standardisation efforts.
