Scaling Corporate Action for Nature: From Ambition to Implementation

Use COP17 as a practical working session to help companies move from nature commitments, disclosures and pilots toward scalable action, clearer partnerships and decision-useful evidence aligned with the GBF

This is not a panel discussion or a talk shop. In this hands-on, interactive session hosted by the UK Biodiversity and Business Forum, Accenture and NatCap at COP17, participants will work in structured breakout groups to identify practical opportunities, partnership models and priority actions for scaling corporate nature action — leaving with concrete next steps they can take forward, not just food for thought.

With many businesses having already made nature commitments, begun TNFD-aligned reporting and explored science-based targets, the challenge now is implementation at scale.

Each breakout group will tackle a specific, real-world barrier — from building the internal business case, to cracking supply chain measurement, to unlocking collaborative landscape finance.

Using a structured “Scaling Corporate Action for Nature Canvas”, the emphasis is firmly on solutions and opportunities rather than problems, bringing together corporate leaders, policymakers, nature solution providers, finance actors and researchers to make a tangible contribution to the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework at this critical COP17 moment.
