Where nature, water and climate converge: how landscape-scale stewardship can unite conservation, communities and industry to deliver resilient landscapes and accelerate the Global Biodiversity Framework.
The biodiversity, climate and water crises are converging in the same landscape. As demand for critical minerals grows, so does the need for collaborative approaches that balance conservation, restoration, water security, community priorities and economic development. This plenary positions mining within a broader coalition delivering the GBF through integrated landscape stewardship. Panellists will explore how landscape scale approaches accelerate GBF implementation, what a nature-positive future looks like in working landscapes and how businesses can restore nature beyond operational boundaries, moving from site-level interventions to lasting landscape outcomes.
