Nature data is part of the implementation infrastructure businesses need to turn commitments into credible decisions. State of Nature metrics can help organisations decide what to track; ecosystem and species evidence can help identify where attention is needed; and company processes determine how information informs decisions and action. This session will explore how these elements work together through perspectives from the Nature Positive Initiative, the Global Ecosystems Atlas, IUCN and Vale.
In a year of Action for Nature, this session explores the critical role of biodiversity data in mapping risks, dependencies and impacts, and examines the Nature Positive Initiative (NPI) indicators, geo components, and species data. Through practical examples and expert discussion, the session will also explore pathways to translate science into actionable business insights and deliver meaningful outcomes for nature.
