Invest in Nature: Progress and Future of Biodiversity Finance– Roundtable of Partnership of Biodiversity and Finance (PBF)

World Resources Institute - WRI presents despite the substantial progress has been made since COP15, considerable gaps in biodiversity finance and actions persists – PBF aims to integrate biodiversity into investment decision-making and mobilize multi-stakeholder actions to achieve GBF targets.
Biodiversity finance is emphasized as a crucial tool for filling the conservation financing gap and achieving GBF targets. The roundtable plans to engage a diverse group of stakeholders (including decision-makers, private sectors, Fis, investors, academics, and CSOs), mainly Partnership of Biodiversity and Finance (PBF) members, aiming at:
1. Reviewing the progress in biodiversity finance in the past two years.
2. Identifying the gaps remaining to achieve GBF targets.
3. Reaching consensus on action plans on the next steps.
At the roundtable, PBF also plans to launch the PBF 2024 Flagship Report.
