Insurance Taking Action for Nature: This high-level, multi-stakeholder dialogue will explore how the insurance sector can make the financial, economic and fiscal risks associated with nature loss more visible; enable finance and financial protection for nature; and mainstream nature and enable wider economic transition. The session will examine how insurance data and risk modelling can provide evidence of the consequences of nature loss and the risk-reduction value of healthy ecosystems, and how underwriting, investment, risk advisory and risk-financing products can protect ecosystems, nature-dependent communities and nature-based investments, while identifying the policy, regulatory, data, modelling, financing and institutional conditions needed to scale insurance action for nature.
