Join all the major sustainable forest certification programs in a collaborative conversation about connecting nature-related reporting requirements to credible forest health outcomes.
Companies are increasingly being asked to assess, measure, report on and ultimately improve their relationship with nature. In the forestry sector, it’s a long and blurry path between reporting on a nature metric and on-the-ground management actions demonstrably leading to forest-positive outcomes. Sustainable forest management certification is an existing programmatic infrastructure that translates increasingly complex external expectations into practical forest management objectives. This session brings together all major forest certification systems to discuss how certification can help close the gap between emerging nature-related frameworks and credible, sustainable conservation outcomes across hundreds of millions of hectares of certified managed forest.
