Building Nature Value at Mine Sites and Across Landscapes: Case Studies in Action

Location: Main Room

Organizers: RESOLVE, Regeneration Enterprises

Mining companies, NGOs, and restoration partners share real-world examples of implementing Nature Positive commitments through biodiversity planning, landscape conservation, restoration, and innovative partnerships.

Mining companies have made substantial biodiversity and Nature Positive commitments, but implementation remains an evolving challenge and there are still relatively few examples from real-world mining contexts. This session will bring together industry, NGOs, and restoration partners to explore emerging case studies and implementation efforts. Drawing on examples from Resolution Copper and other mining projects, panelists will discuss Net Biodiversity Gain strategies, landscape-scale conservation partnerships, restoration of legacy and abandoned mine sites, and innovative approaches such as mine waste repurposing. The session will share practical lessons and opportunities for collaboration to advance Nature Positive outcomes across the sector.
