Bridging Frameworks, Connecting Scales: Policy Coherence for Landscape Restoration and NbS as the delivery mechanism across the Rio Conventions
This side event explores policy coherence as a prerequisite for effective forest and landscape restoration implementation, with a focus on how coherence can be structured both horizontally, across the Rio Conventions, and vertically, from global frameworks to national, subnational, and local levels. The Global Partnership on Forest and Landscape Restoration (GPFLR) has worked at the frontier of these challenges — building shared understanding of what forest and landscape restoration means in practice. This side event draws on that experience to advance a broader conversation about what it will take to make restoration governance coherent across frameworks and scales.
