Join us for an interactive learning session on the progress of financial mechanisms supporting conservation efforts in Indigenous Peoples' territories and local communities. This session will highlight achievements and explore future opportunities in Bolivia, Brazil, and Ecuador.
Considering the importance of increasing direct support for Indigenous and local community organizations for territorial management and biodiversity conservation, we propose a technical interactive session, to discuss experiences of establishing direct access financial mechanisms and emerging opportunities in Bolivia, Brazil and Ecuador. This will include a structured discussion on:
Financial mechanisms with Indigenous or local community governance.
Lessons learned on governance issues and mechanism structures.
Donor institutions learning on developing these financial mechanisms.
This event will include panelists representing Indigenous organizations, funding entities, and NGOs involved in facilitating roles from the 3 countries.
